Bought a couple of weeks ago, and I must say I am very happy that I am. The overall performance is acceptable (this is better than any other netbooks I've tried) and game performance, it is wonderful what you pay for.

  • 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor (512 KB L2 Cache, 533 MHz FSB)
  • 2 GB DDR3 RAM (1 Dimm), Max supported: 3 GB
  • 250GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive
  • 11.6″ Diagonal HD LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1366 x 768), NVIDIA ION LE for Windows 7 with up to 895MB total graphics memory

It is a bit 'fresh for a boy. My son loves it and I'm down to him. I give it high marks, with the exception of parental control. Since its Windows XP and IE 7 checks are limited, so I'm using the trial version of NetNanny.

Other than that I recommend the product, but parents should be somewhat 'computer savvy in September

This superb is a fine successor to 1005 online. Since bears much in common with the past series Eee PC 1005, only the pros and cons list, because we are talking about at length elsewhere.

Pro
Frame
looks good, is definitely something you can wear with pride and blunt the lid is really easy to clean and maintain in good condition.

Keyboard
Chicklet keyboard is solid, andlarge enough for touch typers like home (only negatives are the small right shift key and limited by the arrows)

So far, so good. I’m very happy with my Mini. I bought it because I had owned an HP Mini 1020 for over a year and was pleased with it. My change was because of more advanced technical specifications, such as: a bigger and faster HD(60GB vs. 250GB, muuuuuuch longer life (which means I don’t have to carry the charger around anymore), prettier (it’s red), VGA, ethernet and three USB connections, etc.
BUTS… I don’t believe it: IT DOES NOT HAVE BLUETOOTH!!!! My other HP Mini, much simpler, had it. The Amazon product description said this one did but … oh, surprise: no, it does not have it. That’s why I gave it a 4 star rating. So what, I can live without bluetooth. =)

- Very light and portable
- Reasonably well made (plastic, but not hurt)
- Excellent graphics performance for its size / price
